A new Sam Smith video is here for his In the Lonely Hour ballad “Lay Me Down.” And like most Sam Smith songs, it begins with some somber vibes:
The Ryan Hope-directed video starts off in a church in southeast London, with Smith at the altar, singing in a funeral service. But Sam has some golden rays of happy sunlight up his sleeve, too! The scene shifts to a wedding, and at last, Smith is getting married to his true love. But then there’s one more twist — you’ll just have to watch the video to see.

But cheer up, Sam. This Sunday (Feb. 8) at the Grammys, Smith will perform alongside Mary J. Blige and is up for six Grammys, including album of the year.
