Usher knew how to make an entrance — and an exit — when he arrived at Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter’s Pre Game Party the night before the Super Bowl on Jan. 31 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The “I Don’t Mind” singer arrived by driving himself into the party’s vast airport hangar location in a Mercedes Maybach, courtesy of party sponsor Mercedes-Benz USA, and left at night’s end on a private jet with friends Bow Wow and Jermaine Dupri, the latter of whom also DJ’d the fete.

As the party’s host for the evening, Usher kept the performing to a minimum, offering the packed crowd only a little taste of his hit “U Got It Bad” but otherwise leaving the music to Dupri. He did tease new music earlier in the evening from the red carpet, where he told Billboard that his long-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s Looking 4 Myself was imminent. “The new music is comin’ great – we’ve been in the studio finishing it up right now,” he said. “I’m also getting ready to start my new European tour on February 27 – we had a great time in America kicking off my UR Experience.”
