Ty Dolla $ign continues the star-studded lead-up to his debut album with “Drop That Kitty,” a new single featuring Charli XCX and Tinashe. Listen to the innuendo extravaganza below:
“I got a pit bull, make the kitty run from it,” Ty boasts, and follows up that line with the assertion that he’s “playin’ with the kitty, and it ain’t got fur.” Charli XCX and Tinashe — responsible for the 2014 hits “Boom Clap” and “2 On,” respectively — extend the cats and dogs metaphors, although the command “pop that kitty down low” is reason to believe that these three are singing about more than domestic pets.

“Drop That Kitty,” produced by Stargate and Cashmere Cat, will appear on Ty Dolla $ign’s forthcoming Atlantic Records debut, slated to arrive in the spring. The new track was preceded by the single “Stand For,” which hit No. 26 on the Rap Digital Songs chart in December.
Ty Dolla $ign previously worked with B.o.B on “Paranoid” and Wiz Khalifa & DJ Mustard on “Or Nah.” The Los Angeles MC was recently included in MTV’s Artists to Watch lineup for 2015.
