The Pharcyde Producer J-Sw!ft Fighting Deportation

The Pharcyde Producer J-Sw!ft Fighting Deportation

The native of Spain is raising funds to get back into the United States.

J-Sw!ft is not being allowed back into the United States after being detained in Vancouver, Canada last month after a concert with former members of The Pharcyde Fat Lip and Slimkid3, according to a Go Fund Me page launched to help him fight being deported.

“After achieving gold record status for his debut production for Hip Hop group The Pharcyde and thereafter battling a drug problem for a decade, J-Sw!ft faces his biggest challenge – the judicial system,” the fundraiser page says, “which stands in the way of a reunion with his four children all who reside in Los Angeles.”

The Go Fund Me page has been started to pay for legal fees to bring J-Sw!ft back to the United States. The campaign is asking for $25,000 for legal fees to help pay for the deportation case he is facing due to a felony conviction. He had a ruling for deportation August 8, to which an appeal was filed August 15. He was permitted to travel up to April 15, 2015 and he had toured Europe without incident since the August ruling, but was denied entry to the United States January 15 after performing in Canada.

According to the Go Fund Me campaign, the producer was born in Spain and moved to California with his family when he was six years old. He has resided in the United States ever since and holds a green card, which makes him a Legal Permanent Resident.

J-Sw!ft has been active on Twitter to plead for help. He has been posting pictures of his children and explaining the situation. He tagged Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Drake and DJ Enuff in his post to try to get the attention of the celebrities.

“Please RT this information all my fans!! I need your help. I’ve been in the USA for over 40 years how they gone deport me!!” reads one post.
