Former rap mogul Marion “Suge” Knight says he fired the lawyers handling his murder case before being taken again to a hospital.

Knight spoke on his behalf during a brief court appearance Monday (March 2) in Los Angeles, telling a judge he was going blind and receiving inadequate medical treatment in custody. Knight has been accused of hitting two men with his truck, killing one, during an altercation in late January.

Superior Court Judge James Brandlin transferred the case to a new judge. That judge, Ronald S. Coen, said Knight was taken to the hospital before the case was called. It’s the third time Knight has been taken to hospitals from court.

Earlier, Knight detailed complaints about his health and told Brandlin he fired the law firm of David Kenner.

Knight has pleaded not guilty to murder, attempted murder and hit-and-run.
