ScHoolboy Q reveals reason behind Twitter hiatus, calls himself “da grooviest crip workin.”

Los Angeles, California rapper ScHoolboy Q broke his Twitter silence yesterday (February 4) to inform fans that he’s currently at work on his next studio album. Q, who previously revealed that he doesn’t tweet anymore, posted the following message on Twitter:

“Been in my cave gettin tHis album ready…….. Jus relax, da grooviest crip workin….. Bye”

This latest tweet from the TDE lyricist comes nearly one year after he released his third studio album, Oxymoron. The album received a 3.5-star rating from HipHopDX and was described as being just shy of “a superior album.”

In July of last year, during an interview with Billboard, ScHoolboy spoke on being at “the beginning stages” of his Oxymoron follow-up.

“I just started recording but it’s the beginning stages right now,” ScHoolboy Q said during the interview. “I just don’t want to rush nothing ’cause I done did this before with Oxymoron and the flow of things and I finished my album a long time ago but it just wasn’t ready to me.”
