TMZ reports that poor timing was the reason for Birdman being denied access to Minaj’s pre-Grammy night.
After rumors popped up over the weekend that Nicki Minaj denied Birdman and his entourage entry to her pre-Grammy party in the midst of an ongoing disintegration at Cash Money Records, TMZ now reports that the Pinkprint rapper wasn’t behind the move.
According to the site, Birdman was barred from entering the party due to a scheduling mishap that found him and his posse arriving too late for the club to accommodate their bottle service requests. Additionally, apparently, Minaj had already left the building by the time Birdman arrived at the famous 1OAK club 15 minutes before its closing.
Meanwhile, more generally, both Nicki Minaj and Drake are reportedly trying their best to remain neutral in the midst of a drawn-out internal beef at Cash Money between Birdman and Lil Wayne.
For his part, Lil Wayne recently announced plans to release a new Free Weezy album while the release of his final Carter album stills hangs in the balance at Cash Money. “The Free Weezy Album…komin soon#FWA… Free album. Free Weezy season. The Free Weezy Album. #FWA,” Wayne Tweeted last week. Weezy is currently suing the label for $51 million over nonpayment. Last month, the full 21-page lawsuit between the two parties surfaced online. For additional Cash Money Records coverage, watch the following DX Daily:
