Suge Knight was reportedly involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Thursday, Jan. 29. After being involved in a fight, Knight reportedly reversed his car into two bystanders. Knight turned himself in to the LAPD early Friday morning. His bail has been set at $2 million.

A source tells Billboard that the incident did not occur on the set of a promotional shoot for the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, although other sources don’t agree with this report. The promo shoot occurred prior to the hit-and-run, and also at a different location. One thing that is clear: Ice Cube and Dr. Dre — who are producers of the film — were not present.

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department released a statement on Thursday stating two victims were transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries. There, one male adult was pronounced dead. The second victim’s condition is unknown.

According to TMZ the victim pronounced dead was actor Terry Carter, 55. Actor Cle “Bone” Sloan, 51, was reportedly the second victim that endured non-life threatening injuries.

The hit-and-run was confirmed by Knight’s attorney, James Blatt. “Facts are all over the place right now,” Blatt told Billboard.
