Chris Brown and the Grammy’s relationship with Hip Hop, among the topics discussed on Twitter during the awards show.
From Kanye West jokingly storming the stage as Beck was awarded Album Of The Year to Eminem winning Best Rap Album for The Marshall Mathers LP 2, there were a number of tweet-worthy moments at last night’s (February 8) Grammy Awards ceremony.
Among those who logged on to the social networking site to share their thoughts on the annual show were Consequence, Mickey Factz, Big Tigger and a number of other artists in the Hip Hop community.
Crooner John Legend and Windy City lyricist Common shared their excitement via Twitter, prior to closing out the show with their Grammy-nominated record, “Glory.”
“It’s about that time. #GLORY. #GRAMMYS,” John Legend tweeted before gracing the stage.
MTV News’ Rob Markman offered his thoughts on the Grammy’s relationship with the Hip Hop community during last night’s show.
“…The Grammys use a lot of hip-hop R&B music in the ad to promote the show + draw in audience. But don’t necessarily reward those artists,” Markman said via Twitter.
